Primary Purpose:
Assist with the direction and management of the overall program of instrumental music for the district. Provide students with an opportunity to participate in extracurricular band activities and ensure compliance with all state, University Interscholastic League (UIL), and district requirements. Plan activities to achieve district, region, and state recognition.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
Valid Texas teaching certificate
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Knowledge of overall operation of instrumental music program
Ability to manage budget and personnel
Knowledge of state and UIL policies governing band
Ability to implement policy and procedures
Ability to interpret data
Strong communication, public relations, and interpersonal skills
- $51,300 - $66,675 Salary Schedule Range
- $6,000 - Assistant Band Director Stipend
- $1,000-$1,500 for a Master’s
- $3,000 Special Education
- $499 Contribution to TRS Insurance
- Dilley ISD will provide a $10,000 Life Insurance (no cost)
- Supplemental Benefits are offered through First Financial
- District Matches 457 Plan up to 3%
